Actually, I've never touched olive wood. It was a treat in itself for me as the smell is so amazing ! It's like olives and light lemon. This item surpassed all expectations! The quality of the coin, and the quality of the setting you will not find anywhere else. I've been to Jerusalem and Eastern Europe all over and you won't find these treasures anywhere else. The quality of materials is amazing. I purchased a separate chain (see photo) and I am so glad I did. The chains are made in Italy and the craftsmanship is done here in California by a great artist and historian. They care taken to make each item a special work is clear and the package and Certificate of Authenticity is wonderful! Highly highly recommended!
